turtleneck shrugs: needles?

i was casting on anna's turtleneck shrug last night... but no luck. i wanted to using the magic loop method but it did not work as well as i thought (perhaps due to the fact that i'm not sure how to use magic loop to begin with). anyway... all turtleneck shrug stitchers, what needles do you use? dpn's? small cir. circulars? two circulars?

thank you!

I've been using dpn's and it's working out well so far. But I've never tried magic loop or using 2 circulars for small stuff in the round.

Golly I started out with a 40cm circular, but the sleeve looked too big and then I changed to DPNS, but then found a 30cm plastic Clover circular which has been fabulous, except all of my purl sts after knit sts look kinda loose. hmmm, anyway I have gone back to DPNS for the second sleeve and everything's working out so far. Good luck!
